The American Thinker says, "Sargent Crowley, the sole class act in this trio, helps the handicapped Professor Gates down the stairs, while Barack Obama, heedless of the infirmities of his friend and fellow victim of self-defined racial profiling, strides ahead on his own. So who is compassionate? And who is so self-involved and arrogant that he is oblivious?"
I wouldn't be quite so harsh and finite about it, but...in the overall sense...yeah. And just to be clear, I am not an Obama hater. Yes, I voted for the other guy, but I really hope Obama is a good president for the sake of the country. Though I think he is headed in the wrong direction with his health care plan...
I think the whole Gates situation is craziness all around and like David Letterman said, "So we have hot tempers, name calling, yelling, racist labeling... How can we diffuse the situation? Oh, I know...ALCOHOL!!!"
And this comic from xkcd titled "Understocked"

I know was a serious situation, but I think we all just need to lighten up a bit. Maybe Barack can have us over for beers later...
