T and I left SoCal on Tuesday afternoon and met my brother and his wife in Vegas. The four of us drove the rest of the way to Utah on Wednesday. My mom met us in P-land where we ate J-Dawgs and fudge. YUM! Then T and I spent the afternoon with my sister's kids and my brother's kids at the pool. I'm glad the pool was heated! Our SoCal apartment pool isn't heated - it is just as cold as the Pacific Ocean!
Then T and I went to H's graduation.
Thursday J and L spent the day up north with my brother's family going out on the boat (J / W / D) and going to the park (all the girls).
I think it is so cute that the girls go over to check on the new baby often.
I missed L's baby shower because T and I were taking family pictures with his family. But here are some pictures my mom took at the shower!
Sister in law K had a baby a week before this shower - you would never know. She looks SO good. She even went swimming with us later and even in a swim suit you couldn't tell that she just had a baby. K is amazing!
Aunt J with one week old baby E.
L thought this gift was adorable (which it is!) and said she would take the baby home from the hospital in it! Everyone laughed and they had to tell her the pajamas were size 18 months, just a tad too big for a newborn. (At least that is the version of the story I heard!)
We all met up at Aunt J's house (they knew we were coming? mostly? sort of?) after pictures / baby shower.
I look SO little in this picture! I mean the R boys are tall and big and strong, but I'm not that small. Am I?
I love that T looks uncomfortably squished here. Haha! The rest of us were fine.
I'm really glad that we got to see the R family. And I'm really glad we got to see N because he's leaving on a mission this summer and we won't see him again for two years!
J opening the baby shower present from me and T. Now use those blocks like the flash cards! Haha!
Friday we went to my other brother's house.
We played Simon says. This one is stick your tongue out. I'm a good influence.
Later that afternoon we headed to the water park. LOVE that place! It was slightly chilly (you can see the clouds) so the baby babies didn't get in but everyone else did and we had a FABULOUS time! This is the only picture we got because we were too busy having fun! Also look! There's still snow on the mountains! In June! (And I'm using a lot of exclamation points! Sorry. I'll stop now.)
Right after the water park my whole family met at my parents' house for dinner. When looking at these photos keep in mind that most of us came straight from the pool...
I tried to feed baby C some blue jello. He wouldn't take it.
The babies love me! Also, my dad's irises are beautiful. Too bad all those poppies weren't open yet.
(Or maybe I just have the jello jigglers...)
T and I played stuck in the mud with the seven oldest grandkids (the oldest is seven). You better believe I can shimmy under a three year old's legs to unfreeze them!
E one week, R and C nine months, Wolverine four months.
L (the child, not J's wife) was doing a rap to "Goldilocks" and made the boys keep the beat...
It was pretty funny.
One week old baby E.
J and L had to head back to Vegas and broke the party up.
Saturday we went to L's soccer game. It's funny to watch five year olds play soccer. Or not play soccer, as the case may be sometimes.
We also went to see my sister's family one more time.
The twins have the most beautiful blue eyes.
I do this pose with all the babies. But D was concerned. He said, "Watch out! Don't step on my baby brother!" Aww. He's looking out for them. How sweet.
We LOVE all these families. I wish our Utah trips weren't so short and rushed! There's never enough time to see everyone and do everything. Up next: T's family.
Even from the freeway, the Utah mountains are beautiful.

wonderful, too short visit!
