Bestie E is going to have a baby - YAY! So I went shopping for some super cute baby outfits. Except it seems like every store only has variations on this theme:
These all came from Target.com, but "cutesy" sayings like these are on almost every single piece of baby / toddler clothing in every store and it needs to end now. Yes, babies are cute, precious, loved, etc. We already know this. We don't need tacky clothing items to tell us that. Yes, your baby is in fact "too cute for words" so for heaven's sake don't put words of any kind on your poor baby's chest. I feel so sorry for babies who are dressed in things like this.
Needless to say, I am still looking for an outfit for Bestie E's baby. Thank goodness I have until fall to find something.
*If you dress your baby in things like this, it's okay. We can still be friends.
*There are a few (a FEW!) baby clothes that have "cutesy" things or sayings on them that are actually cute. But really, the vast majority are horrible.
*I think it is ridiculous when people dress newborns in scratchy clothes or jeans or name brand sneakers. They are newborns, not mini-adults! They should be introduced to the world in soft, comfy clothes - being in the world is already uncomfortable enough as it is.
Also, happy mother's day. My mom is the best!
