Books 52-60

52.  "Growing up in the *Family Name* Bungalow" 104 pages
This is a collection of growing up memories by my Grandma P and her siblings that was edited by my
Great Aunt P.  It was so much fun to read.  I love hearing those new and old stories.  I'm proud to be
       related to these great people.
53.  "The Wednesday Wars" by Gary D Schmidt  264 pages
I liked this one.  I laughed and cried.  It's a keeper.
54.  "Revelation" by Kate Brian  249 pages
55.  "Jellicoe Road" by Melina Marchetta  419 pages
I think I mostly liked this one.  I really liked parts of it and really didn't like other parts.  It's hard to keep
track of the different stories until about two thirds of the way through, then you totally get it.
56.  "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee 323 pages
LOVE this one.  I thought I had read it in school, but as I was reading (re-reading?) it  I realized that I
couldn't remember how it ended.  All the characters are just so loveable - well, you know except for the
bad guys.  They weren't so loveable. "To Kill A Mockingbird" made me laugh, cry, get upset, and really
think.  It's a quick read and a great social commentary.  Really, one of the best books ever.  Read it for
the first time or again.  It's worth it.
57.  "I'll Mature When I'm Dead" by Dave Barry  254 pages
T and I read this together.  It's classic Dave Barry complete with booger jokes and band names.
58.  "Paradise Lost" by Kate Brian 243 pages
59.  "The Luxe" by Anna Godbersen
60.  "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare
This is the first book in a series about a regular girl who discovers that she is part of a world of demons,
shadowhunters (the good(?) guys), vampires, warlocks, werewolves, etc.  I am usually not into sci-fi /
fantasy.  And I'm not sure that this book quite falls into that category, but it leans heavily that way.  In
many ways it is totally predictable, but there was a big surprise for me.  The more I read the more I liked
       it.

*I'm way behind on posting about books I've read.  I finished all of these books before we took our trip at the start of June!
